Emily Wesley is a transracial Korean adoptee who earned her Master of Social Work from the UW School of Social Work in 2016.  She was part of the Child Welfare Training and Advancement Program (CWTAP). She has experience as a Child Protective Services (CPS) investigator and home-study specialist social worker in the Washington State Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) Licensing Division.

Emily is a licensed clinical social worker and has a private practice working with clients affected by trauma, grief and loss, using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a main modality.

From 2020 to 2022, Emily was a field instructor for the UW School of Social Work with CWTAP. Her community service work has been focused on relative, foster and adoption services in the United States and Korea. She has also served as the co-chair of the Asian Adult Adoptees of Washington (AAAW) Mentorship Program (AMP), assisting with community and the exploration of identity and race within the transracial adoptee community.
