Please extend a warm welcome to Chantal Reynolds, the new executive assistant to Dean Michael Spencer. Chantal is the first point of contact for the dean and the primary contact between the dean, the School and the University.
Chantal is a Filipino-naturalized American and a lawyer by profession. Before migrating from the Philippines, she had 14-plus years of litigation and civil law experience in corporate law and the real estate industry.
In her new position, Chantal will also act as the dean’s representative, keeping him apprised of relevant issues, activities and developments in the School and the University. She will also provide executive-level administrative support for the Faculty Council and faculty meetings as well as key initiatives for the dean.
Prior to joining the School of Social Work on Sept. 18, Chantal was the assistant to the Divisional Deans of the Arts and Natural Sciences and the assistant dean of personnel in the UW College of Arts and Sciences. “I am a proud Husky,” says Chantal,” adding that she loves Corgis (she and her husband have 3) and is an avid cook, gardener, traveler and musician who plays the piano, guitar and ukulele.
