Please extend a warm welcome to Khatami “Tami” Chau who joined the Office of Student Services on January 22 as its temporary program coordinator.
Tami’s duties include fielding inquiries from current and prospective students and providing support for events and programs. He also serves as the lead for immunization compliance for our MSW and BASW students.
“I am so excited to join the SSW Student Services Team,” says Tami. “My experiences as a student leader and social change advocate at both the legislative and grassroots level has brought me here to serve today.”
Tami and his family arrived in Seattle a decade ago. They hail from the descendants of the Kingdom of Champa—ancestral lands in Southeast Asia that no longer exist. In his words, he is passionate about nurturing spaces that center radical joy, optimism and healing while uplifting underserved and disenfranchised communities in their educational journeys.
