Please join us in congratulating Nicole Guenther for her APAC Adviser of the Month award!

This recognition is awarded each month by the UW Association of Professional Advisers & Counselors (APAC) to a UW adviser who goes above and beyond in providing guidance and support to UW students. Nicole is the assistant director of the School’s BASW program.

The nomination letter noted that “Nicole is committed to making advising as accessible and inclusive as possible, always being sure to include funding and resource information that is applicable to students of color, undocumented students, LGBTQ+ students, low-income students, and students who are members of other marginalized and underrepresented communities.”

You can read an interview with Nicole on the APAC social media page in which she discusses her joy in working with UW students.

Nicole joined the School of Social Work in 2017. She earned a master of education degree in learning sciences and human development from the UW College of Education. She also holds a BA in English language and literature from the UW.
